  • Q1 2021

    Alfresco Content Services 7.0

    • Increases scalability: Repository enhancements provide organizations a scalable content services platform that can handle billions of documents.
    • Improves search performance: The new Query Accelerator improves linear database scalability for faster, more efficient searches of large repositories.
    • More extensible: Enhanced developer experience with the new Alfresco Events SDK to speed up the development process and realize a faster time to value.
    • Improves security governance: Reduce business risk and strengthen compliance with auto detection and tagging of personal identifiable information (PII) in documents, enabling easier privacy management to comply with data protection regulations.
    • Simplifies deployment: New installers for non-containerized deployment with Ansible playbooks as well as improved reference charts for containerized deployments.

    Perceptive Content Foundation Enhancement Pack (EP) 3

    • Introduces additional single-sign-on support for the desktop client, providing additional federated authentication capabilities such as ADFS and SAML
    • Offers database enhancements that reduce downtime during the upgrade process

    Perceptive Experience Content Apps EP3

    • Introduces the Hyland Virtual Printer to enable users to print directly into Content Apps from any application and easily index incoming content
    • Content Capture and Indexing App 1.0 offers batch-like capture capabilities and dynamic indexing possibilities, equipping users to capture and process more content, quicker

    Brainware Foundation EP2

    • Enhanced ICR recognition of handwritten text and expanded OCR recognition to non-English languages.
    • Enables 2D barcode recognition for a more efficient and customizable means for capturing data

    Brainware for Invoices 3.4

    • Adds the Automated Learning Engine to Brainware for Invoices, improving accuracy when extracting header-level data

    • Support for Oracle Database 19c and 2D barcode capabilities found in Brainware Foundation EP2

    Content Composer EP3

    • Improves user experience, including additional language support, dark mode, updated icons and screens, and improved “copy document” functionality

    • Makes it easier for customers to leverage RPA capabilities to further automate and optimize their business processes

    In the newest release of Content Composer, Hyland’s customer communications management (CCM) product, organizations can leverage improvements that increase efficiency and enable staff to use the tools they are most comfortable with. That means:
