Jason Wolan, CIO, BeneSys:

When we're able to engage the customer quickly, we're either able to receive information quickly or we're able to put it back in front of the member quickly. We're able to lower our time for service significantly. And I think where we're really headed with that then is how much value can we deliver to our customers? Specifically within Taft Hartley, which is a government-regulated space for organized labor unions, and really what we do is we provide administrative benefits to those trusts. So it is our job to then track all of that money ingestion and subsequent allocation to ensure that the members’ money is tracked, recorded and distributed to them.

We are in healthcare, we are in insurance, we are in government, we are in finance. We really have a bent in every single one of these spaces. Being organized across 250-plus clients that represent 10s of millions of vendors means that we have to have exceptional software systems that help us with organization of those documents, workflows so that we ensure things are routed and escalated appropriately, and to make sure just really that we have an ability to build a sustainable, scalable business model.

I think the use case for the Content Innovation Cloud for us has really been focused on how we can transform, modernize off of paper. What we see is a transformative initiative here where we can go from very, very manual processes to truly digital, automated processes that are governed by workflows.

What we always knew was that the workflows that Hyland has are built in a fashion that they can be very tailored to the business process to grow and evolve with the business, that we can really enable our workforce with a software platform that I think very importantly for us means that we have an off-the-shelf, low-code, customizable platform that allows us to build process around technology.

Hyland being a very customizable platform is really allowing us to tailor that platform to the needs of the business and allow us to build it in efficient fashion so that we can engage our staff and provide new technologies, new benefits to our customers to engage them in more of a self-service capacity, and the Innovation Cloud is absolutely serving as that.

I believe what we're going to be able to do with the platform here is continue to quickly develop solutions and deliver them to market, which is critical in our business to show that we have real technology evolution going on, that we are trying to drive self-service for our members.
