Hyland releases latest content services product enhancements, led by new AI-powered Intelligent Document Processing product

Enhancements also include expanded integration opportunities, key platform updates for Alfresco and Nuxeo

Hyland, a leading global content services provider, announced its latest product enhancements, including the company’s new Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) product, key customization options in Hyland’s Alfresco platform, and enhanced capabilities within the Nuxeo platform.

Additionally, Hyland has introduced important integrations for its OnBase platform and delivered key updates to its suite of healthcare solutions.

Hyland’s newest product, Hyland Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), delivers AI-powered document capture, separation, classification and intelligent data extraction technology. This game-changing offering helps organizations reliably improve efficiency, accuracy and the speed of document processing. Hyland IDP includes:

  • AI-powered process automation, reducing document processing cost and time, and eliminating bottlenecks
  • Intelligent capture and processing with an integrated online learning engine, so organizations can improve data accuracy, reduce errors and minimize the need for human intervention
  • A highly scalable, low-code platform that simplifies automation design, deployment and management

Hyland recently was named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape for Worldwide Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) Software 2023-24 Vendor Assessment.

Alfresco

Enhancements across Hyland’s Alfresco platform include customization options for creating bespoke user experiences, simplified solution deployment and optimized ongoing administration.

Notable updates include:

  • Elasticsearch support throughout the platform (including Alfresco PaaS), so developers can streamline search operations while allowing end users to quickly find information throughout the enterprise
  • Improved Alfresco Digital Workspace options and controls that enable engaging and efficient user experiences
  • Improved transparency between Alfresco Content and Process Services

Nuxeo

Users also will enjoy enhanced capabilities to Hyland’s Nuxeo Platform, including automating content cleanup, providing a flexible governance approach, and supporting compound documents and new connectors.

Other enhancements include:

  • Flexible retention, so customers can choose between “flexible” and “enforced” retention models
  • Orphan binaries cleanup at scale, ensuring easy cleanup on repositories with billion-plus document repositories
  • The media manipulation add-on for Nuxeo Web UI, which will save customers hours during their asset creation

OnBase integrations

Hyland’s latest enhancements include two key OnBase integrations:

  • Hyland Outlook Office Add-In: Users now can import emails and included attachments as a single file into the OnBase content repository.
  • Hyland’s OnBase Integration for Encompass® saves mortgage lenders time and valuable IT resources. This prebuilt and tested integration with the Encompass loan origination system by ICE Mortgage Technology™ delivers secure and automated loan document archiving.

Hyland Healthcare enhancements

Hyland Healthcare customers will benefit from new enhancements to Hyland’s deep bench of healthcare solutions, including:

  • Cloud-Based Enterprise Imaging SaaS solution provides greater control of medical imaging and data access; optimized imagery across multiple specialties; easier access to highly available archive; and more
  • NilRead v24: NilRead’s multimodal pure zero footprint enterprise diagnostic viewer continues to enhance viewing tools and imaging workflows. Key updates include enhanced tech note workflows for better communications with radiologists; a timeline heat map to better ascertain patient imaging trends over time; UI changes that streamline steps required to share images; and more.
