Hyland’s 2024 Q1 releases include key enterprise product updates

Alfresco releases deliver significant enhancements that increase operational efficiencies, support increased scalability requirements and reduce the environmental impact of operating their content solutions. In addition, updates increase the cohesion throughout Alfresco, making it easier to manage and deploy modules and services.

Notable enhancements include:

• Scalability and reliability enhancements that extend Alfresco’s ability to meet today’s demanding enterprise IT requirements

• Simplified upgrade pathways to make it easier to stay current with Alfresco

• Simplified Alfresco cloud deployment and administration

• Preconfigured processes to address standard workflows, such as review and approval

• User experience improvements that streamline both content-centric process creation and execution

OnBase Foundation 24.1 provides an improved user experience and enhanced usability across the web client and OnBase Apps. Solutions are also easier to utilize for all users leveraging accessibility features. This release also eases configuration change management for administrators, while providing new efficiencies via enhanced accounts payable, eSignature and Workflow-driven solutions.

At a glance, this release includes:

• Improved user experiences for low-code WorkView case management solutions through OnBase App Builder

• Improved accessibility support for WCAG 2.1 AA with 300-plus improvements

• Ability to track configuration changes in the OnBase Administration Portal

• Integration for Adobe Sign leveraging the Workflows and Templates

Workflow Messaging
Workflow Messaging is a no-code tool that enhances integration support by adding XML message handling to Workflow. Using existing Workflow features, this tool:

• Enables integration scenarios to be configured and then handled directly within OnBase Workflow, without relying on BizTalk and custom programming

• Provides a rich integration environment for OnBase integrators

Accounts payable solution enhancements

AP Processing Rules
The AP Processing Rules within the OnBase AP Automation solution provides additional automation capabilities through a set of configurable rules that help reduce data entry on non-PO invoices. These rules are enabled or disabled by an administrator, providing the flexibility to realize additional automation during the coding, approval, posting to the ERP or adding payment terms process. This release:

• Reduces data entry through predictable matching criteria to automatically code invoices

• Provides invoice processing flexibility with rules that can be configured for coding, approving, posting to the ERP, or adding missing payment terms

• Drives data insights with reports detailing invoices that achieved straight-through processing

AP Invoice Approval App 3.1
With release 3.1 of the AP Invoice Approval App, access to invoice information across the enterprise is increased through a view-only license. Non-AP and non-OnBase users can now access invoice images and associated data more easily and whenever needed. This new release:

• Makes access to invoices across the enterprise easier with a view-only license type

• Enables invoices to be found faster with filters for invoice header information

• Grants easy insight into invoice status through a dashboard, detailing the number of pending invoices, invoices approved, invoices rejected and critical invoices

ReqConnect for Deltek Costpoint
ReqConnect directly integrates your requisition form process with Deltek Costpoint. With a simple and modern form design, ReqConnect displays the fields needed to ensure your requisition form gets created, routed, reviewed and approved — accurately and efficiently. Features include:

• An accelerated requisition process through simple steps to create, track and find requisitions, and then notify key stakeholders at critical stages

• A modernized interface that enhances the user experience and minimizes scrolling with expandable side panels that show data and tabbed layout to direct focus to key areas of the form

• A direct integration with Deltek Costpoint that maps requisition data fields with Costpoint fields, ensuring data integrity

Perceptive Content Foundation 24.1 includes updates aimed at enhancing user experience, strengthening platform security and optimizing your processes. Details include:

• The completion of replatforming all our previously existing core applications within Perceptive Experience Content Apps

• The addition of Folders and Tasks to the web client, marking the completion of our transition to the next generation Content Apps

• Support for the latest versions of required third-party updates while maintaining scalability, performance and security

• Platform updates that result in lower costs and easier maintenance

• A highly requested LearnMode update, through which users can now enjoy seamless integration with browser-delivered applications while using the next-generation Content Apps

This Content Composer Foundation 23.2 release provides customers with continued compliance with regulatory rules and the expansion of supported languages. Of particular note:

• Content Composer now supports Dutch, Polish and French languages

• Enhancements to the web client, including printing a document, data retrieval from Content Composer Data Selections using Start Parameters, support for 4K (3840 x 2160) display resolution and support for multiple zoom levels.

The Hyland Healthcare Integration for etherFAX provides secure electronic delivery of content to OnBase for indexing and use within the EHR workflow. The integration:

• Eliminates lost time managing data transfer through telephone lines

• Provides a secure, cost-effective and compliant solution that protects health information and stays compliant

• Shortens processing cycles

• Speeds access to patient records for faster care decisions

• Reduces costs relative to older systems

• Improves image clarity, so medical records are automatically indexed using Hyland's Intelligent MedRecords technology

• Utilizes existing OnBase and EHR integration to enable clinician use within workflow

New solution! Clinician Complete and Return
Hyland Clinician Complete and Return is a software solution that enables health information management (HIM) staff to assign, route, check status and escalate records for clinician review, acknowledgement, annotation and signature. This enables hospitals and health systems to provide for more efficient task completion and management to increase HIM and clinician capacity, maintain compliance and improve the patient experience.

Notable solution benefits include:

• Optimization of health information staff time by automating the process of collecting clinician acknowledgement, annotation and signature

• Aids compliance with timestamps and reporting dashboards to support both care and reimbursement

• Leverages existing OnBase infrastructure to provide a cost-effective solution

• Expedites completion by enabling clinicians to route the request to another clinician if the request is not for one of their patients

New solution! Hyland Insurance Card Extraction
With this initial release, Hyland Insurance Card Extraction delivers AI-powered insurance card capture, intelligent data extraction technology and EHR integration to help health systems reliably improve the accuracy and efficiency of insurance eligibility checking.

Customers will benefit from:

• Extended insurance card validation by extracting multiple values from each insurance card and referencing nationally maintained databases, as well as up-to-date values from payers

• Intelligent capture that improves data accuracy, reduces errors and frees staff for other work
