Hyland’s Midtown Coding Club is a free, fun way for students to explore coding, creativity and technology. No experience required!

Ready to create games, explore AI and code your own interactive stories?

Join Hyland’s FREE Midtown Coding Club for grades 7–12 in the greater Cleveland area. No coding experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to try something new!

MJoin us at the Midtown Collaboration Center and use our state-of-the-art computer lab to dive into hands-on tech topics, meet new friends and have fun.

Registration opens Monday, September 8.

Session schedule

The club meets on Thursdays for six weeks, and each session is centered around a different computer science topic. These topics do not build on each other, so students are welcome to join the club at any time!

Here’s what a typical Thursday would look like at the Midtown Coding Club:

Study Hall: Work on homework/projects or play approved games

  • Location: In person at Hyland’s Classroom at the Midtown Collaboration Center

  • Cost: FREE

For students

  • Open to grades 7–12
  • No experience needed — Beginners welcome!
  • Come to as many sessions as you like, as each week is a different topic

For parents/guardians

  • Registration opens: Monday, September 8
  • The club operates on a rolling enrollment basis. Students are welcome to join any time during the session run dates after registration opens.
  • A consent form is required for students under 18. Please submit the form with your registration.
  • Registration must be completed by the parent/guardian.
