Latin America's Digital Transformation Opportunity Meets Execution: Hyland Appoints Will Pimentel as SVP & GM of LATAM to Accelerate Content-Powered Agentic Enterprise Adoption
LATAM enterprises face critical juncture: early cloud/AI adoption creating competitive divide between regional leaders and laggards
Pimentel brings over 25 years of enterprise software scale expertise and proven ability to execute complex GTM strategies
Serving enterprises in LATAM for almost 30 years, this appointment signals Hyland's commitment to bringing AI-native agentic automation to LATAM's most regulated, complex industries

MEXICO CITY & SAO PAULO – August 3, 2026 – Enterprises across Latin America are at an inflection point. While cloud and AI adoption accelerates globally, LATAM organizations face a unique convergence of challenges: legacy content infrastructure built for analog processes, increasingly complex regulatory environments, distributed workforce models, and critical skill gaps in AI-driven transformation. Leaders who move decisively to modernize content management and unlock AI-powered automation will establish competitive moats. Those who delay risk ceding market share to faster-moving competitors.
It is against this backdrop serving over 500 enterprise customers across the region that Hyland, a global leader in enterprise content management (ECM) and the pioneer of the content-powered agentic enterprise, is today announcing the appointment of Will Pimentel as senior vice president and general manager for the LATAM region. In this role, Pimentel will lead Hyland's commercial strategy across Latin America, driving adoption of the Content Innovation Cloud and Hyland's expanding portfolio of AI-native solutions across the region's most critical industries, including healthcare, financial services, government, and insurance.
"Having served the LATAM market for nearly three decades, Will's appointment reflects our continued commitment to helping LATAM enterprises compete globally with agentic automation," said Steve Baird, chief revenue officer at Hyland. "While organizations across Latin America are making progress with AI, many still struggle with fragmented, manual content workflows, creating a barrier to unlocking AI-native automation and agentic intelligence. Will's track record scaling enterprise software across diverse markets, combined with his deep LATAM expertise, positions him to translate Hyland's platform innovation into regional execution to support our customers."
In this role leading Hyland’s business efforts in the LATAM region, Pimentel will drive the company’s commercial strategy and execution across Latin America, including sales, partner ecosystem development, and regional team leadership. He will be responsible for translating Hyland's content-powered agentic enterprise strategy into region-specific go-to-market execution that balances enterprise consistency with LATAM's diverse regulatory, economic, and competitive landscape. Additionally, he will build and develop high-performing, distributed sales and commercial teams across the region, and will also serve as a strategic advisor to Hyland's executive leadership, bringing regional market insights, customer intelligence, and competitive dynamics into corporate planning and product strategy.
"This is the moment where LATAM enterprises can either modernize content infrastructure and unlock AI-native automation at scale, or risk falling behind," said Will Pimentel, SVP & GM, LATAM at Hyland. "I've spent over two decades working across these markets, and I've seen firsthand what separates successful digital transformers can achieve when they evolve from their legacy infrastructure.”
Added Pimentel, “The winners are the organizations that modernize their content foundations and embrace agentic intelligence. With the Hyland Content Innovation Cloud, they have a purpose-built for this moment, and my mission is to help LATAM enterprises realize this opportunity."
Bringing the Agentic Enterprise to Latin America
The Content Innovation Cloud represents a fundamental shift in how enterprises operate. Rather than storing content in departmental silos and forcing teams to manually hunt for information, the platform enables agentic automation at scale. This means systems that understand, process, and act on content within governed workflows, shifting enterprise operations from manual, fragmented processes to intelligent automation.
For LATAM organizations, this capability is transformative:
Healthcare systems can unify patient records across multiple hospitals and clinics, enabling AI-powered diagnostic support and reducing administrative burden on clinicians.
Financial institutions can consolidate compliance and regulatory documentation into a governed platform, with AI-enabled document classification and risk assessment.
Government agencies can modernize citizen-facing services through agentic document processing and intelligent routing, improving both efficiency and user experience.
Insurance companies can replace manual claims adjudication with AI-native processes, dramatically reducing turnaround times and improving member satisfaction.
The common thread: Organizations that modernize content infrastructure and embrace agentic automation operate faster, reduce costs, and compete more effectively than those trapped in legacy systems.
