In addition to VERG, Hyland has implemented a mentorship program that helps veterans become accustomed to Hyland’s culture and work environment. Veterans also receive an extra day of paid time off as a gesture of thanks for their service. No matter the length of service, or in which branch they served, there is a place for veterans at Hyland
To encourage interest and confidence in computer sciences and other traditionally male-dominated IT fields, Hyland hosts the bi-annual Women in Tech Conference. In addition, our Women in Tech group supports women working at Hyland in the IT space and connects them with schools, organizations and events that advance women in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).
Hyland partners with various agencies at the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities for job-shadowing.
Hyland encourages and empowers employees to support the organizations that mean the most to them. We offer 12 hours per year of paid volunteer time off, non-profit organization board-matching to help them align skill sets and interests with local organizations, and gift-matching that helps their donations go even further.
We’re proud of our relationships with programs and organizations that have a direct impact on our communities, including Adopt-a-Family, the Red Cross, United Way, Business Volunteers Unlimited, The Centers for Families and Children and the Cleveland Food Bank.
Each year, hundreds of Hylanders roll up our sleeves and work together on a large revitalization project. What started at our headquarters in Northeast Ohio has become a tradition at our offices around the world.
We cultivate an environment where employees are family, and we actively engage in their well-being. Through a grant managed by the Emergency Assistance Foundation, this relief fund allows employees to make charitable donations to assist coworkers in times of need.

At Hyland, we’re always looking ahead. We strive to create opportunities for the next generation of innovative minds through education, mentoring and support. Hyland engages future IT professionals with youth competitions, camps, clubs and field trip opportunities.

Students in 7th through 12th grades are introduced to a range of technology topics like coding and software testing to help them explore different areas within the tech industry and remove barriers and preconceptions that may have prevented them from exploring their areas of interest.
Students meet each week after school to learn about new tech concepts and work on projects to present at the end of the semester.
High school and college students spend a weekend at Hyland headquarters working on tech projects and competing for prizes.
