# European Digital Maturity Index 2026

While Europe’s overall score rose 6 points, one critical area moved in the opposite direction: content services maturity dropped 13 points to just 56 out of 100 — the only category to decline. As organizations rush to adopt AI, cloud and automation, they’re inadvertently creating more data silos. In fact, 54% of decision-makers say their information is too fragmented to use AI reliably — and 57% report that innovation initiatives stall at the pilot stage and never go live.
