Manage and control more projects with construction document management software
Arcelor Mittal Brasil, Latin America’s largest steel manufacturer, was struggling with increasingly complicated, disjointed projects. As projects developed, more people needed to be involved with the process, which required documents scattered in a variety of disconnected systems.
As part of a larger corporate effort to standardise practices and improve communication across its many divisions, the company worked with Hyland to implement OnBase, an enterprise content management (ECM) solution suite, as a system for control of its construction projects.
Since going live with OnBase, the company has seen continued success and can manage more projects than ever before. In the past, about 15 to 20 per cent of civil projects were won. Now, the rate of success has doubled to 30 to 40 per cent, and the overall number of projects has increased because they’re easier to manage.
“After having used it and experienced its value, we couldn’t operate without OnBase,” says Ana Paula Campos, Brazilian sales manager at Arcelor Belgo.
Construction document management software that scales across the enterprise
With OnBase, construction companies:
- Scale their solution across corporate and branch locations while managing information in a central repository
- Promote faster inter-departmental processing, allowing staff to make better, more informed decisions
- Provide users with mobile access to information on their phones and tablets, allowing them to work on projects no matter the time or their location
OnBase enables construction companies to meet the needs of each department — including Accounting and Finance, Human Resources and Legal — with one easily supported application, letting them start with a single department or solution and expand as time, goals and budget permit.
