Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) was looking for a solution that would satisfy very specific consent form needs, including the need for a form that would accommodate up to six signatures.
THE SOLUTION
GOSH chose Hyland Healthcare’s OnBase content services solution for e-consents.
Accessing, filling out and submitting the form is simple and all takes place through OnBase and within the patient record. Staff and clinicians create a new form, linking to the encounter in Epic. Once OnBase generates the form, it automatically populates fields with demographic data from the Epic record.
GOSH continues to discover new and innovative ways to simplify the care process with OnBase. “OnBase has been beyond fabulous,” said Dr Sridharan, chief clinical information officer at GOSH “Though, 90 percent of hospital staff have no idea that OnBase is being used. They think it is all in our EPR.”
