When we started building software in 1991, doing what’s best for our employees and customers was second nature. As we’ve grown to a company of more than 2,200 strong, we are thankful that we have the opportunity make an even bigger impact on our communities as we sustain a culture that fosters generosity of spirit.
It’s our privilege to forge meaningful, long-term ties with the customers, partners, students, educators and non-profit organisations that shape our vision and values. These relationships make us who we are – a united, engaged workforce that is dedicated to being a positive presence around the globe.
To provide a welcoming and empowering environment to our veterans, Hyland has initiated an internal group discussion board, monthly meetings and a mentorship program. Veterans also receive an extra day of paid time off as a gesture of thanks for their service. No matter the length of service, or in which branch they served, there is a place for veterans at Hyland.
To encourage interest and confidence in computer sciences and other traditionally male-dominated IT fields, Hyland hosts the bi-annual Women in Tech Conference. In addition, our Women in Tech group supports women working at Hyland in the IT space and connects them with schools, organizations and events that advance women in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).
This resource group supports female employees in their personal and professional goals through networking, mentorship, workshops and presentations.
Hyland partners with various agencies at the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities for job-shadowing and open houses, and has hired several employees at our Westlake campus.
Hyland encourages and empowers employees to support the organisations that mean the most to them. We offer 12 hours per year of paid volunteer time off, non-profit organisation board-matching to help them align skill sets and interests with local organisations, and gift-matching that helps their donations go even further.
We’re proud of our relationships with programs and organisations that have a direct impact on our communities, including Adopt-a-Family, the Red Cross, United Way, Business Volunteers Unlimited, The Centers for Families and Children and the Cleveland Food Bank.
Each year, hundreds of Hylanders roll up our sleeves and work together on a large revitalisation project. What started at our headquarters in Northeast Ohio has become a tradition at our offices around the world.
The annual 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk to benefit MetroHealth is an opportunity for us to get together, be active and support our Cleveland-area non-profit public health care system.
