Nancy Stickney, VP of Sales

Nancy StickneyNancy Stickney joined Hyland Software in 2010 as VP of Sales. Prior to Hyland, Nancy, a Northeast Ohio native, enjoyed a long and highly successful tenure in Silicon Valley and other regions in enterprise software and services sales. Most recently, she spent eight years with Microsoft Corporation, where her strong sales execution, business strategy and planning skills moved her rapidly up through the ranks.

Throughout her career, Nancy has been noted for successfully increasing revenue and market share across businesses of varying sizes and stages. Her ability to improve and strengthen partner and customer relationships is one of the keys to this success.

At Microsoft, her experience spanned direct sales, partner management and services. In her most recent role as director of sales and marketing for the U.S. Central region, she led a team of more than 500 sellers across 18 states to three consecutive years of double-digit revenue growth. The success of this $1.8 billion enterprise business region was made possible in part by focusing on customer and partner satisfaction. Nancy’s territory finished first in U.S. customer satisfaction for three consecutive years, and first in worldwide partner satisfaction for two straight years.

As services sales director for the $200 million Microsoft Consulting Services, Nancy drove 38 percent YOY revenue growth. She did this by working with district teams to expand the technical and solutions impact of the company, ultimately helping customers understand and realise the full potential of the Microsoft platform.

Nancy came to that position after serving as Microsoft’s director of customer and partner experience, integrating end-to-end customer lifecycle activities with Microsoft Services and managing partner communities in the Central region. In this role, she helped to deliver a 9 percent increase in customer satisfaction and 31 percent YOY support health growth.

While leading Microsoft’s Rocky Mountain District sales and partner team, she developed a cross functional sales group that increased YOY revenue by 12 percent and partner satisfaction by 7 percent. In her first position with Microsoft, she pioneered a value-based consulting and selling methodology and grew company share in her district’s top accounts as a business productivity advisor.

Before Microsoft, Nancy held a series of sales leadership positions at Allegis Corporation (now Click Commerce), where she helped to quadruple revenues from $3 million to $12 million in two years.

With SAP America, Nancy held posts in enterprise software sales and business development. She was part of a team responsible for the North American rollout of the company’s Customer Engagement Lifecycle, a program designed to increase sales by improving customer satisfaction. Nancy’s various efforts led to her earning President’s Club honors for greatly exceeding her sales quota.

Nancy has also applied her strategic leadership in financial services, with five years at the Federal Reserve Banks of San Francisco and Chicago. She developed a risk-reducing auditing methodology that transformed auditors into trusted advisors and led to decreases in YOY managerial risk. Presented to Chairman of the Federal Reserve Alan Greenspan’s Board of Governors, it was adopted across all 12 banks of the Federal Reserve System.

Nancy has a Master of Science from Loyola University Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
