Field Reporting: Create Law Enforcement Reports in the Field with Limited or No Connectivity

Law enforcement officers spend most of their time at work in the field, with no network connection. When incidents occur, they gather information and supporting evidence to document in reports at the end of their shifts. Officers face the challenge of recalling the specifics of each incident, which can result in errors and inaccuracies. With additional evidence collected and stored in multiple locations, files are easily lost and reports are left incomplete.

Application

Field Reporting allows officers to create reports, record data and upload evidence while they work in the field as soon as the information is collected. Even with no network connection, disconnected, mobile workstations sync with OnBase at the end of each shift and upload new incident reports along with any supporting files. Reports are automatically routed for supervisor review, notated on or offline, and returned to the officer for additional information. Once approved, reports are stored and preserved as records in OnBase.
