A Microsoft® partner for nearly 20 years

If you're like most organizations, Microsoft technologies - from SQL Server to Outlook and SharePoint - are critical to the success of your IT infrastructure. So to make sure you're getting the most out of these Microsoft investments, it makes sense to align with an enterprise content management solution that's optimized for Microsoft infrastructure and application technologies.

Hyland Software understands these needs. That's why we've been working closely with Microsoft since 1991. As a result, Hyland provides its customers with a solution in OnBase that's constantly evolving with their IT needs, and one that's always up-to-date with the latest Microsoft technologies. As OnBase is a premier Microsoft partner solution, Hyland has been recognized as:

  • 2011 Finalist for the Microsoft Midmarket Partner of the Year Award
  • Microsoft Gold Certified Partner holding eight Microsoft Competencies
  • Managed ISV Partner (a distinction that Microsoft extends to only the top 0.5% of its 75,000 partners)
  • Member of the Worldwide ISV Partner Advisory Council
  • Invited participant in the Office 2010 Partner Advisory Council and the SharePoint 2010 Technology Adoption Program

SharePoint is perfect as a business collaboration and Web publishing platform. It also provides a strong foundation to put ECM on every desktop. But when it comes to document-driven processes (like invoice approvals, insurance underwriting or college application reviews), it needs a little help. OnBase complements SharePoint, bringing document and process management to SharePoint users. By staying in SharePoint, you:

  • Increase adoption and reduces training by letting users stay in SharePoint
  • Allow more people to participate in document-driven transactional processes
  • Realize a lower total cost of ownership with one transactional ECM vendor

You built your IT infrastructure on Microsoft technologies and so did we. That means you can take advantage of in-house knowledge and experiences with SQL Server database administration, .NET Framework, Visual Basic and C# development and more. OnBase is also compatible with Microsoft security policies and easily integrates with Active Directory to give users a single sign-on experience.

  • Makes use of internal expertise so IT staff don’t need to learn new developer tools
  • Lowers total cost of ownership and maintenance needs by leveraging your Microsoft infrastructure already in place
  • Eases integration by drawing on .NET Framework experience

Many process workers spend most of their time in Microsoft Office products like Outlook, Word and SharePoint. Sometimes, though, they need to play a part in administrative processes outside of Office. With OnBase integrations for Office, they stay in these applications and still interact with transactional ECM when they need to. For example, an Outlook user can approve an invoice in an accounts payable workflow from a link in an e-mail.

  • Increases productivity by letting users stay in their familiar Microsoft Office applications so they interact with OnBase without switching screens
  •  Improves user adoption and reduces training by making it easy for users to work with OnBase
  • Allows more people to participate in business processes without needing to purchase extra line-of-business application licenses

For Hyland, understanding and solving the business problems of our customers is priority one. It’s why we develop and support our solutions in line with specific industries, including insurance.

With this in mind, Hyland and Microsoft used their insurance expertise to address a need in the insurance market: managing claims. A dynamic process that continues to increase in complexity with many types of documents, data and tasks, as well as regulatory requirements, it’s clear insurance companies could benefit from a case management solution.

The solution, a single application integrated with other technologies like Office and Outlook, enables claims adjusters to more effectively:

  • Access information
  • Schedule tasks
  • Handle high volume case loads
