Strengthening the Core

When you choose an ECM vendor, you should have confidence that the platform you invest in will continue to be relevant as new technologies emerge and your organizational requirements change and grow.

With OnBase 12, we continue to invest in the foundation of OnBase, which supports the long-term growth of your solution and ensures that you will get the best performance. We also continue to evolve the flexibility of our deployment options, which includes on-premises and in the cloud.

Architecture Enhancements
With OnBase 12, we strengthened our foundation by bolstering our architectural platform. We have added a new server component, which ensure the best performance possible for organizations accessing large files such as PDF’s, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CAD drawings over slower network environments. Large enterprises with multiple offices around the globe as well as small organizations running on slower networks will benefit from quicker access to these large files.

We have expanded the ability to use single sign-on to access OnBase by integrating with Microsoft’s Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS). OnBase users can now take advantage of single sign-on when accessing OnBase via our cloud offering OnBase Online or in enterprises comprised of multiple domains.

Platform Support
By continuing to provide support for the latest software available, we ensure that OnBase will provide the best possible experience for our users.

That includes supporting the latest Microsoft software. Since its inception in 1991, Hyland has been committed to using the latest Microsoft server and desktop technologies. In fact, Hyland Software was part of an elite group invited by Microsoft to test the compatibility of OnBase with Microsoft’s recent SQL Server 2012 upgrade. The two-day compatibility lab took place in April 2012 and offered participants the option to proactively test software applications prior to Microsoft’s release date to ensure a high degree of compatibility with the product. As such, OnBase 12 is compatible with Microsoft’s SQL Server 2012.

Other enhancements include support for HP Multifunctional Printers, eCopy/Nuance support for ShareScan 5.0, as well as the latest data-mining software, Monarch 11.0.

OnBase 12 continues to enhance the experience for its users and implementers alike by staying committed to improving all the functionality running behind the scenes. By staying true to developing on our core platform, our customers benefit from a fully integrated, natively developed, and enterprise-ready solution that remains relevant and up-to-speed with all the different technologies that keep your organization moving.
